A Pair of Vintage Silver-Plated Novelty Compacts Shaped as Military Peaked Caps
Condition report:
Both items are in aged, used condition with significant surface tarnish and a dark patina throughout. The silver plating shows heavy wear, particularly on the high points and edges, exposing the warmer-toned base metal underneath. The interior mirror in the compact box is heavily foxed and the silvering has degraded. The mechanical dispenser appears structurally intact, though its functionality has not been tested. There are various small surface scuffs and minor indentations consistent with age and handling.
