This collection comprises several vintage metal storage containers of likely mid-20th-century British industrial or military origin. The group features a large rectangular steel trunk with a dark patinated finish, fitted with a central hasp for a padlock and stencilled with the name MOORBY. 12. on the lid. Included is an olive drab utility chest with two front-facing toggle latches and yellow labels marked FRAGILE. A smaller rectangular toolbox is present with a central rounded carry handle and an overall heavily oxidised surface. The collection also contains a black equipment case with wire-loop handles at either end and a paper label inscribed with the identification C.W.H.M. Bench Sets. All items in this lot are empty.
Condition report:
The items are in a well-used, as-found condition. They exhibit varying degrees of surface rust, paint wear, scratches, and minor denting consistent with long-term industrial or workshop use. The larger trunk and one toolbox show significant surface oxidation. Latches appear functional but have not been professionally tested. No keys are included with the lot.
