A large, spent brass shell casing designed for use with a 105mm Howitzer, specifically the M14 Type 1 model. The casing features a characteristic bottlenecked profile with a wide rimmed base. An internal flash tube is visible protruding from the open neck of the shell. The base of the casing bears several concentric stamped markings. The upper section is stamped 105MM M14 TYPE 1. The lower section is stamped LOT COP-2-63, indicating a production date of 1963. The COP designation is attributed to the Copperweld Steel Company. The primer assembly in the centre of the base has been struck and is spent.

Condition report:
The item is in good, spent condition. It displays natural surface oxidation, tarnishing, and minor scuffs consistent with age and previous use. Some minor irregularities are present at the rim of the neck. The casing is inert and contains no explosive components.
