Two 19th-century wooden boxes comprising a vanity dressing case and a writing slope
Condition report:
Both items exhibit wear consistent with age and domestic use. The exteriors show surface scratches, small indentations, and minor losses to the veneers, particularly at the corners and edges. The interior linings of both boxes show wear, fading, and light staining. The vanity case is missing lids for three of the glass bottles. The writing slope displays wear and minor cracking to the folding interior writing surface. Metal components show varying degrees of tarnish and oxidation. No keys are present.
