A collection of four giraffe figurines produced for The Leonardo Collection, a brand of the British giftware company Lesser & Pavey Ltd. The group consists of one standing adult giraffe, two reclining adult giraffes, and one standing juvenile giraffe. Each piece is constructed from cold-cast resin or a similar composite material, finished with a textured surface to simulate the appearance of hide and mane. One figurine features a black backstamp on an unglazed base with a crown over crossed swords logo and the text The Leonardo Collection Giraffe © 2002. A relief mark reading © Leonardo is also present on the body of one figurine.
Condition report:
One standing figurine has a previous repair to a break on the lower part of a rear leg. One reclining figurine has a chip to the mane on the neck with associated finish loss, exposing the white base material. The figurines show light surface dust and minor wear consistent with display.
