A coffee table in the French Provincial style, dating from the mid-to-late 20th century. The table is constructed with a highly figured onyx top featuring a serpentine edge and a variegated pattern of cream, ochre, and russet tones. The stone surface contains natural internal fissures and veining characteristic of the material. The top is mounted on an ornate gilt-metal base, likely brass or brass-plated cast metal, which features four cabriole legs decorated with acanthus leaf and scroll motifs in relief. A small white adhesive label with the handwritten characters W1201 is present on the upper surface of the onyx. No manufacturer marks are visible on the piece.
