A pair of Lladró glazed porcelain figurines featuring Arctic subjects. The first figurine, model number 1195, depicts a reclining child in a hooded parka resting alongside a polar bear cub, commonly known as Eskimo Boy with Baby Polar Bear. The base is marked with the blue underglaze Lladró factory stamp, Hand Made in Spain, and the copyright for DAISA. The second figurine, model number 1443, depicts a seated mother polar bear with two small cubs, known as Polar Bears. The base bears the blue underglaze Lladró factory mark, Hand Made in Spain, the copyright for DAISA 1983, and incised markings including E-14 O. A circular silver sticker with the number 065 is present on the underside of the polar bear group. Both pieces are finished in a characteristic high-gloss glaze with a palette of muted cream, grey, and soft blue tones.
Condition report:
Both figurines appear to be in good overall condition with no visible chips, cracks, or signs of restoration. A physical inspection is recommended to confirm the absence of hairline fractures or minor surface wear.
