A silver-toned chain bracelet with a section of twisted rope links is marked 925 for sterling silver. One necklace consists of a fine silver-toned chain supporting a large, faceted teardrop-cut clear glass or crystal pendant.
The collection of brooches includes a sterling silver circular wreath with oak leaf and acorn motifs, bearing London hallmarks for the maker WJS. A sterling silver brooch modelled as a Concorde jet also bears London hallmarks and a 925 purity stamp. A carved shell cameo depicting a figure with a harp and a cherub is set in a silver-toned frame with a rope twist border. A diamond-shaped brooch features an iridescent blue-green butterfly wing under glass with a painted tropical palm tree scene, stamped SILVER on the reverse. A second diamond-shaped brooch features a central mother-of-pearl floral inlay on a blue ground and an abalone shell border, stamped ALPACA MEXICO. Also included is an enamel or painted bar brooch depicting three colourful birds perched on a branch.
Condition report:
The items show signs of age-related tarnish, surface wear, and fine scratches throughout. The silver and silver-toned pieces exhibit heavy oxidisation in areas. The painted bird brooch shows minor surface wear and loss to the finish. All pieces appear intact with functional fastenings.
