This collection comprises three individual sterling silver napkin rings of varying designs and a two-piece silver-plated novelty child’s dining set.
The first napkin ring is of cylindrical form featuring engine-turned decoration and reeded borders. It bears full British hallmarks for Birmingham, 1902, with the maker’s mark WA for William Adams Ltd.
The second napkin ring is decorated with an engine-turned wavy pattern and crimped edges. It bears full British hallmarks for London, 1922, with the maker’s mark LB&D for Lee & Wigfull.
The third napkin ring is of plain D-section design with stepped borders. It bears full British hallmarks for Birmingham, 1912, with the maker’s mark H&S Ld for Hukin & Heath Ltd.
The novelty set consists of a spoon and a food pusher, both featuring handles cast in the form of a ceremonial guardsman. The reverse of the handles is stamped with the monomark BCM/PBNU, the registered design number 722341 (dating to circa 1926), and EPNS for electro-plated nickel silver.
Condition report:
All items exhibit surface tarnish and light scratches consistent with age and use. The sterling silver napkin rings appear in good structural condition without significant deformation. The plated items show minor surface wear but remain functional.
