Buyer's Premium:

This lot comprises a collection of British militaria relating to the Church Lads’ Brigade Junior Training Corps (CLB JTC), dating from the mid-20th century. The collection is composed of items fashioned from gilding metal and brass. Included are multiple cap badges, each featuring a Maltese cross with a central circular boss embossed with the letters C, L, and B. Below the cross is a curved scroll with the inscription JUNIOR TRAINING CORPS. The reverse of these badges typically features two lugs for attachment. The collection also contains several uniform buttons of varying sizes, decorated with a central Maltese cross over crossed rifles, surrounded by the letters C, L, and B. Additionally, the group includes smaller insignia, likely collar badges, which depict a Maltese cross with a C L B monogram positioned over crossed rifles and surmounted by a knight’s helmet.

Condition report:

The collection is in generally good condition, showing a range of age-related patina from bright gilt to a darker, uncleaned bronze tone. Most badges appear to have their original fixing lugs intact, though some examples may be bent or missing given the size of the lot. Minor surface wear and oxidation are present, consistent with age and service use.
