The auction will start in __ days and __ hours

Start price: £5

Estimated price: £10 - £20

Buyer's Premium:

A 1930s circular wall mirror and a studio glass vase. The mirror features decorative Barbola-work to the upper section, consisting of five high-relief roses in red and pink tones with green leaves. The lower part of the frame is formed of a textured and segmented composite border. The accompanying studio glass vase is of globular form in a teal-blue colour, featuring vertical trailed decoration in a darker tone and visible internal seeds. The vase has a short neck and an everted rim, with an adhesive stock label marked O588P to the shoulder.

Condition report:

The mirror frame shows heavy crazing, cracking, and losses to the paint and gesso finish on the lower border, revealing the underlying substrate. The circular mirror plate exhibits significant foxing and silvering loss throughout, consistent with age. The studio glass vase appears to be in good condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs.
