Start price: £3

Estimated price: £5 - £10

Buyer's Premium:

A collection of decorative items and metalware featuring an Arts and Crafts style pewter tea service and a figural study. The pewter service consists of a tall tapered pot with a wooden finial, a globular teapot with a wicker-bound handle, and an open twin-handled sugar bowl, all presented on a circular tray. Each piece in the set features a hand-hammered planished finish. The lot also includes a cast metal figural study of a female dancer in a dynamic pose, finished with a two-tone patina. This is accompanied by a turned stone base, likely alabaster or marble, which retains a metal fitting at the top suggesting it may have originally functioned as part of a lamp or desk accessory.

Condition report:

The pewter tea service displays a deep matte grey patina with general surface wear and oxidation consistent with age. There is a significant dent to the lower body of the tall tapered pot. The metal figurine shows substantial condition issues, with extensive peeling and loss of the surface finish across the skirt and lower body. The stone base exhibits surface discolouration and staining, and the metal fitting appears to be an incomplete remnant.
