This collection consists of a diverse range of hand-carved wooden artifacts and decorative objects. Included are several African-style wooden masks crafted from dark hardwood with visible grain and an aged patina. The woodenware comprises a large hand-turned light wood bowl, a smaller dark-stained bowl, and a hand-carved wooden spoon featuring a scrolled terminal. A rectangular wooden box is decorated with intricate geometric marquetry and parquetry inlay across the lid and sides. Figurative items include a small carved wooden seal and a decorative smoking pipe with a bowl carved in the likeness of a bearded man in a peaked cap. The collection also contains two heavy, dark-coloured circular vessels, one designed as an ashtray with rim notches, alongside a hexagonal pen holder and a conical object. A heraldic wall plaque displays the City of Manchester coat of arms on a metal shield with polychrome enamel or paint, featuring a brass-toned scroll inscribed CITY OF MANCHESTER and the motto CONCILIO ET LABORE.
