A collection of four pairs of novelty ceramic salt and pepper pots. The collection includes a pair of glazed ceramic head busts depicting Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, attributed to Enesco for the Mickey and Co. range; Mickey is modelled wearing a blue cap with a yellow brim featuring a red letter P, while Minnie wears a pink and white polka-dot bow and a pink collar featuring a white letter S within a circular emblem. The assortment also features a pair of mid-century style anthropomorphic flower shakers with hand-painted faces and rosy cheeks set upon green leaf-form bases, one with yellow petals and one with pink petals. Also included are a pair of stylised toucan shakers with green-teal bodies, pink breasts, and orange bills and feet, alongside a pair of stylised cat shakers featuring rounded bodies with integral bow ties and a mottled, speckled brown and tan glaze. No maker’s marks are visible on the items.
Condition report:
The Mickey and Minnie Mouse shakers are in good vintage condition with no visible chips or cracks. The anthropomorphic flower shakers are in good overall condition; however, there is a small visible chip on the upper edge of the green leaf on the yellow flower shaker. The toucan shakers show some surface wear and paint loss, particularly around the feet and bills, consistent with age and use. The cat shakers appear in good condition with no apparent damage.
