A canteen of silver-plated cutlery by Stanley Whitfield of Sheffield. The collection is presented in a two-tier dark wood case of Art Deco design, featuring horizontal recessed banding and a curved metal handle. The interior is lined with red velvet and contains a collection of flatware including knives, forks, and spoons. Each piece is decorated with ornate scrolling floral patterns to the handles. The stainless steel knife blades are stamped with the maker mark STANLEY WHITFIELD SHEFFIELD ENGLAND STAINLESS STEEL.
Condition report:
The wooden case exhibits surface scratches, scuffs, and general signs of age. The metal handle shows wear to the finish. The interior velvet lining shows light use. The cutlery pieces show minor surface scratches and light tarnishing consistent with age and use.
