This group consists of vintage Bayko architectural building sets and an additional period game. The building sets are produced by Plimpton Engineering Co. Ltd. of Liverpool, England, and are marketed as Bayko The Original Plastic Building Sets. The group includes two expansion kits, specifically Converting Set 2x and Converting Set 3x, intended for use with standard Bayko sets. These are contained in their original blue cardboard boxes with yellow and red labels. The sets contain various plastic building elements in red, white, and green, featuring architectural details such as brick textures and window frames. Also included are multiple green rectangular baseplates perforated with a grid of holes for assembly. Two original instruction and plan booklets are present: one for Set No. 4 and another for Sets 0 to 3. Also included is a Rhymo Dominoes game from the Pepys Series, described as a novel game for girls and boys, in its original illustrated red and yellow cardboard box. The Bayko boxes feature printed manufacturer details and patent information, including Patent No 422645.
Condition report:
The items are in used vintage condition. The blue cardboard boxes show significant age-related wear, including surface scuffing, fading to the labels, and splits to the corners and edges. The instruction booklets exhibit handling wear and creasing but remain legible. Plastic components appear generally well-preserved within the boxes, though the sets have not been checked for completeness. The Rhymo Dominoes box shows minor edge wear and light surface marks.
