An Art Deco style frameless wall mirror of elongated octagonal form, dating to approximately the 1930s to 1950s. The mirror plate features multi-faceted v-cut bevelled edges around the perimeter. The piece is designed to be wall-mounted and is currently held by four metal retaining clips. The geometry consists of a central flat glass panel with twelve-sided bevelled borders, creating a diamond-cut effect characteristic of the period.
Condition report:
The mirror plate shows signs of age and use. There is visible foxing and silvering loss, particularly around the outer edges. A prominent semi-circular orange-toned mark or residue is present in the lower-left corner. The surface exhibits dust, fingerprints, and light surface scratching. No major chips or cracks are apparent to the main body of the glass, although minor nibbles may be present to the bevelled edges upon close inspection.
