Buyer's Premium:

This collection comprises three distinct framed works of art. The first is an etching with drypoint on paper, depicting the Cathedral of the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos on the Moat, commonly known as Saint Basil Cathedral, in Moscow. The work displays fine architectural rendering with fluid, sketchy lines in the sky typical of the etching process. A clear plate mark is visible around the image. It is inscribed in pencil to the lower left in Cyrillic script Покровский собор (Pokrovsky Cathedral) and bears a stylized signature to the lower right followed by the date 90. The print is housed in a contemporary silver toned metal frame with a wide cream mat.

The second work is a mixed media collage by Beryl Underwood, dated 09. The composition is formed from layered pieces of torn decorative paper and textiles in an abstract arrangement of autumnal and earthy tones. It is signed Beryl Underwood 09 in the lower right corner and is set in a light oak frame with a white mat.

The third item is a watercolor on paper featuring a loose, expressive floral composition of roses and berries. The piece is signed in Cyrillic to the lower right. It is presented in an ornate gilt wood frame with a double mat.

Dimensions: No measurements provided.

Condition report:

The etching shows overall even toning to the paper consistent with its age but remains free from foxing, tears, or visible staining. The impression is sharp with good tonal definition. The silver toned frame and glazing are in good condition. Both the Beryl Underwood collage and the floral watercolor appear well preserved with no visible damage to the media or mount boards. The gilt and oak frames show minor surface scuffing and signs of age but remain structurally sound.
