A collection of assorted wicker baskets featuring a pair of rectangular champagne presentation baskets for the house of Perrier-Jouet, Epernay. Each champagne basket is constructed from woven willow with horizontal red-stained bands near the base and is fitted with a central wooden plaque printed with the maker’s name, Epernay, and Produce of France. The assortment further includes a variety of other containers such as a round basket with a fixed handle containing a decorative ceramic plate with botanical leaf and berry motifs, a dark-stained woven basket, and other wicker vessels of differing sizes and weaves.
Condition report:
The items are in good used condition with some minor fraying and broken strands typical of wicker work. The wooden plaques on the champagne baskets show light surface wear and minor scuffing.
