Buyer's Premium:

This lot comprises an assortment of vintage optical and photographic equipment, featuring a pair of binoculars and two boxed items. The binoculars are identified as Frampton’s Sou’Wester model, featuring a magnification of 7×50 and a field of view of 372ft at 1000yds. The metal body is finished with a black textured leatherette grip and bears the serial number 00888. This item is equipped with coated optics and includes a black textured hardshell carrying case with a shoulder strap and an attached tan leather neck strap. Frampton’s was a known retailer in the United Kingdom. The first boxed item is a Sigma interchangeable zoom lens with a focal length of 39-80mm and a constant maximum aperture of f/3.5, presented in its original red cardboard packaging. The second boxed item is a Minolta Vectis 20 camera, designed for the APS (Advanced Photo System) format, designated as IX 240 on the original blue and white retail packaging.

Condition report:

The binoculars show age-related wear and dust accumulation. A small adhesive label is present on the left barrel. While the lenses appear intact, they exhibit surface dust and would benefit from professional cleaning. The mechanical movement of the focus wheel and diopter is present, but internal collimation has not been tested. The Sigma lens box displays shelf wear and corner creasing; the lens itself remains unverified for optical clarity or mechanical function. The Minolta camera box shows minor storage wear; the camera body has not been removed for inspection or tested for shutter function or battery compartment integrity.
