This lot comprises two boxes containing a diverse range of vintage and contemporary toys, figures, and ephemera. The first box contains various plastic animal and character figures, including a large grey elephant and a green action figure. It features a large painted wood or composite cutout of a dog, which appears to be a component of a pull-toy. Also included is a rusted cast iron or pressed steel lattice girder bridge section, a white plastic aircraft body, and a necklace of cowrie shells. The second box focuses on space and industrial themes. It includes a printed paper Wall’s Captains Moonfleet Log Book, a promotional item for Sky Ray ice cream. Space-themed toys consist of a large green plastic rocket and a lithographed tinplate and plastic futuristic space station building. Industrial items include an orange-painted metal crane jib and olive-drab military vehicle components. Additional items include a red plastic toy wristwatch, a wooden car with red wheels contained in a plastic bag, and a white plastic electronic base bearing the Disney Infinity mark. Materials throughout the lot include plastic, tinplate, cast iron, wood, composite board, paper, and shell.
Condition report:
The items are in a generally play-worn state. The metal bridge section shows heavy oxidation and surface rust. Tinplate and plastic items exhibit paint loss, surface scratching, and wear consistent with age and use. Many items appear to be incomplete components or parts of larger toy sets. The Disney Infinity base and other mechanical or electronic parts are untested.
