A rectangular storage chest of composite wood or fiberboard construction. The exterior is decorated with a vintage-style decoupage finish featuring reproduction late 19th-century British newspaper clippings and advertisements, primarily from The Penny Illustrated Paper and Illustrated Times. Visible advertisements include Mappin and Webb, Oetzmann and Co., and C. Brandauer and Co. The chest is fitted with a single dark-patinated metal handle on the front and has a hinged lid. The interior is finished in dark forest green paint.
Condition report:
The piece presents in good overall condition. There is minor shelf wear and light scuffing to the edges of the paper finish. The interior paint shows light surface marks consistent with use. Hardware is functional and secure.
