A collection of vintage mens jewellery comprising several boxed sets and individual pieces of cufflinks, tie clips, and shirt studs. The collection includes a pair of gold-toned cufflinks by Murray and Hawe with rectangular purple-toned insets, presented in a black and white box. Also featured is a pair of 22ct gold-plated cufflinks by Diamond Cut, made in England, with a textured trapezoidal design in a red hinged case. A Zenith branded set, marked with a crown logo, contains a tie bar with a mother-of-pearl style inlay and coordinating round gold-toned cufflinks. Another cased Diamond Cut set features oval gold-toned cufflinks with matching shirt studs. A grey velvet-covered box contains multiple gold-toned tie clips, one of which is stamped Made in West Germany on the reverse. Miscellaneous items include a gold-toned cufflink and tie tack with safety chain in a small black box, and a blue velvet lid marked Pin’s. The items are primarily manufactured from gold-plated or gold-toned base metal with various textured, “diamond cut”, and inlaid decorative elements.
Condition report:
The items generally appear to be in good vintage condition with signs of age-consistent wear, including minor surface tarnishing to the metal components. The interior lining of the box containing the oval cufflink and stud set shows prominent reddish-brown staining and foxing. All hinges and clasps appear functional.
