A pair of mid-20th-century vintage suitcases of varying sizes and materials. The upper case features a textured woven fabric exterior with reinforced brown corner guards and is decorated with several international travel decals including Roma, Venezia, and Durban Aquarium. It is fitted with a central brown moulded handle and twin metal latches. The lower, larger suitcase is constructed from tan-coloured leather or treated fibreboard with stitched edging, featuring a central leather-wrapped handle and heavy metal flip locks.
Condition report:
Both items exhibit significant age-related wear, including scuffs, staining, and surface abrasions commensurate with long-term travel use. The fabric case shows some fraying and peeling to the decals. Metal hardware on both cases shows evidence of surface oxidation and tarnishing. Interiors have not been inspected.
