A Mid-Century Modern coffee table dating to the 1960s. The rectangular top features rounded corners and a teak-coloured veneer or laminate finish with a straight grain and a profiled edge. The table is supported by four splayed and tapered legs finished in black paint, each terminating in a brass-toned metal ferrule. The design is in the atomic style characteristic of the period and resembles items produced by manufacturers such as Formwood. No maker’s marks were visible during inspection.
Condition report:
The table is in good vintage condition. The top surface shows light, age-related wear including some faint scratches and minor variations in the finish consistency. The legs show some minor scuffing to the black paint, and the brass-toned caps exhibit light tarnishing and oxidation.
