Two framed decorative posters. The first is a promotional travel poster for the Eastern and Oriental Express luxury train service, designed in a style reminiscent of early 20th-century Art Deco travel advertisements. The composition features a stylised map of the Malay Peninsula with a dashed line indicating the rail route, including stops at Sukhothai, Bangkok, Penang, Kuala Lumpur, Malacca, and Singapore. The right side illustrates a luxury dark green train carriage with passengers, notably a woman in a white suit and wide-brimmed sun hat. The poster is housed in a light wood-toned frame behind glass.
The second item is a photographic souvenir poster depicting the Roman Theatre at Bosra, Syria. The large central photograph shows the well-preserved cavea and stage building of the UNESCO World Heritage site, supplemented by three smaller inset images of the ruins at the base. The poster includes printed text in English and Arabic, identifying the subject as Bosra Theatre and attributing the photography to Mukdad. D (Duraid Muqdad). It bears contact information for a Damascus-based entity and a blue logo for Al-Ahli. This poster is housed in a thin silver-toned metal frame behind glass.
Condition report:
Both items are in good decorative condition. The Eastern and Oriental Express poster appears well-preserved within its frame, which shows minor surface scuffs and edge wear. The Bosra Theatre poster displays some minor waving of the paper substrate beneath the glass. The metal frame shows light surface scratches consistent with age and handling.
