A mid-20th-century camel saddle footstool in the Moroccan style. The piece is constructed with a stained wooden frame featuring curved legs and uprights in a traditional saddle-frame design. It is embellished with circular brass studs throughout the legs and polished brass caps to the top of the uprights. The padded, contoured seat is upholstered in two-tone dark teal and off-white vinyl. The upholstery design includes a central circular medallion with contrasting trim and decorative piping along the edges.
Condition report:
Fair condition. There is notable surface peeling and scuffing to the dark teal portion of the vinyl upholstery, particularly concentrated in the centre, exposing the base fabric. The off-white sections show some minor staining and general discolouration. The wooden frame exhibits various small scuffs and surface wear consistent with age. The brass elements display a natural aged patina and some tarnish.
