A dining suite constructed from painted wood, featuring a folk-art or upcycled aesthetic. The table is designed with a square top finished in cream paint, decorated with a hand-painted red border and a central red square panel containing white zigzag and chevron motifs. It stands on four square-section tapered legs painted in a contrasting red. The suite includes three slatted-back chairs. One chair is finished in a golden yellow paint and features a dark blue-green stencil of a heart flanked by leaves on the top back rail. The remaining two chairs are painted in a uniform mint green. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible.
Condition report:
The suite is in used condition with visible wear throughout the painted surfaces. Notable scuffing, minor scratches, and paint loss are present, particularly along the edges of the tabletop and on the seats of the chairs. The items appear structurally sound.
