A collection of topographical prints primarily featuring views of the South West of England. The group includes a hand-coloured engraving titled View of the LONG ROOM and BATHS with the Country adjacent, near PLYMOUTH, after Samuel Owen (inscribed S. Owen delt.) and engraved by William Cooke (W. Cooke sculpt.). This print features a numbered key identifying sixteen landmarks and retains a clear plate mark. Also included is a hand-coloured engraving depicting Devonport & the Hamoaze from Mount Edgcumbe, after Colonel Charles Hamilton Smith (inscribed Painted by C.H. Smith, Guernsey) and engraved by Henry Adlard, which also displays a visible plate mark. The collection further contains a hand-coloured lithograph of Dartmouth the Harbour and Castle from Dyer’s Hill, produced by the Exeter-based lithographer J. Salmon. The final piece is a hand-coloured print showing a harbour scene with figures on a quay. The works are presented in a variety of frames, including gilt, silvered-gilt, and dark wood mouldings, all under glass.

Condition report:

The prints exhibit overall paper toning and varying degrees of foxing, with the Dartmouth lithograph showing more advanced spotting. Discolouration and staining are present on several of the card mounts. The frames show minor nicks, surface wear, and small areas of loss to the finishes consistent with age.
