Two gilt framed wall mirrors of differing traditional styles. The first mirror features a heavily moulded ornate frame in the Neo-Baroque style, decorated with scrolled foliate and floral motifs in a dark gold and burnished bronze finish. It includes a narrow, stepped gold-toned inner slip and houses a bevelled rectangular mirror plate. The second mirror features a frame with a rectilinear stepped profile and an inner border decorated with a beaded pattern in a gilt finish, also containing a bevelled rectangular mirror plate. Both pieces are modern decorative reproductions of classical designs.
Condition report:
Both mirrors appear in good overall condition. The mirror plates are clear and free from significant foxing or silvering loss. The frames show minor surface wear and light scuffing consistent with age and use.
