An assortment of framed pictures comprising prints, drawings, and a painting. The collection includes a Victorian lithograph titled The Dove to the verso, depicting a young woman with a bird in a gilt-finished frame. A semi-abstract landscape in oil or acrylic on board displays a vertical composition with a palette of greens, yellows, and dark tones; an illegible signature is present to the work. An abstract drawing in charcoal or pastel on paper is housed in a black frame, bearing a handwritten label for Approaching Cornwall and a framer’s sticker from Saltash, Cornwall. Also featured is an antique monochrome print of historic Plymouth landmarks including the Citadel Gate and Palace Court, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Foxsmith Galleries. Condition report:
The items show various signs of age and wear. Significant foxing and brownish discoloration are evident on several paper supports and backing boards, particularly on the Victorian lithograph and the canine print. Framing displays general scuffing and minor losses to finishes. Some mounts show light tanning. One piece displays moisture staining to the backing paper.
