A vintage hand-carved English oak cheeseboard by the workshop of Robert Mouseman Thompson of Kilburn. The board is of oval form with an integral handle, crafted from a single section of oak. The handle features the signature three-dimensional hand-carved mouse trademark, a distinctive hallmark of the maker, with a long tail extending along the grip. The piece displays a rich patina and the characteristic prominent grain of English oak.
Condition report:
The cheeseboard shows signs of age and domestic use, including visible surface scratches and light knife marks across the cutting area. The carved mouse trademark remains well-defined with no significant damage. There are no signs of structural cracks or previous restoration.
