A lot comprising two distinct mid-century modern coffee tables, likely British in origin, circa 1960s. The first table features a rectangular teak-veneered top with rounded corners and solid wood edges, supported by a sculpted underframe with arched side rails and four tapered legs. The second table is of teak construction, featuring a rectangular top decorated with a series of offset parallel grooves filled with a black finish to create a slatted visual effect. It is supported by four tapered legs of square section. No manufacturer’s marks or labels are visible on either piece.
Condition report:
Both items exhibit wear commensurate with age and utility. The upper table is in generally good condition with minor surface wear. The lower table is in fair to good condition, showing more pronounced surface wear to the top, including several light scratches, scuffs, and abrasions to the finish. Both pieces appear structurally sound.
