An assortment of contemporary glass marbles and storage containers manufactured by Robert Frederick and Super Retro Toys, produced in a vintage style. The collection includes a light blue lithographed tinplate storage box by Super Retro Toys titled 160 Marbles with illustrations of children. A large rectangular green metal tin contains a mixed collection of glass marbles including standard players and larger shooters in various styles such as cat’s eyes, swirls, and solid colours. A further small metal tin by Robert Frederick contains several large glass shooter marbles in assorted colours including amber and cobalt blue. The lot also features a Robert Frederick Marbles Game cardboard box decorated with a harlequin diamond pattern and a graphic of a wooden scoring arch.
Condition report:
The items are in good used condition. The tinplate storage boxes show minor surface wear and small scratches consistent with use. The glass marbles are largely intact with some pieces displaying minor surface abrasions or small moons typical of play-wear. The cardboard game box has light wear to the edges and corners.
