A trio of portable folding workbenches and vices, comprising two Black & Decker models and one similar unbranded example. The first item is a Black & Decker Workmate Plus, constructed with a black metal frame and red plastic winding handles. The frame bears the maker’s name and model in orange and white lettering. The second item is a Black & Decker Workmate 536, featuring a black metal frame and a two-piece wooden work surface. The wooden top is printed with instructional diagrams and a metric ruler, alongside the manufacturer’s name and model number. The third item is a folding workbench with a blue-painted metal frame and black plastic winding handles. While no manufacturer’s mark is visible on the blue frame, it is designed in the same utilitarian style as the Workmate series. All three units utilise a folding mechanism and a split work surface that operates as a full-length vice for securing workpieces.
Condition report:
All three workbenches are in used workshop condition. The wooden surfaces show expected signs of wear, including scuffing, staining, and dust accumulation. The Black & Decker Workmate 536 exhibits visible wear to the printed diagrams. The blue-framed workbench shows areas of surface rust and paint loss on the metal components. All units appear to retain their primary winding handles; however, additional accessories such as plastic bench dogs are not present. The folding and vice mechanisms have not been tested for full operation.
