The timepiece features a manual wind movement signed Astral and 7 Jewels, bearing the serial number 805282 which matches the case components. The white enamel dial is printed with the Coventry Astral brand name and a five-pointed star symbol, featuring Roman numeral hour markers, an outer minute track, and a subsidiary seconds dial located at the 6 o’clock position. The case is a Moon grade gold-filled, also known as rolled gold, example produced by the Dennison Watch Case Co. Ltd. of Birmingham. The interior of the case is marked with the Moon trade name, the A.L.D. maker’s mark, and the matching serial number. The inner dust cover carries a manufacturer’s inscription stating the case is constructed of two plates of 10ct gold with a plate of composition between and is guaranteed to wear for 20 years.
