A collection of Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) and military memorabilia associated with the service of Flight Lieutenant C.A.K. Scott during the late 1950s and early 1960s. The primary highlight is a Royal Doulton large character jug depicting Field Marshal Montgomery (Monty), shown wearing his signature black beret with Royal Tank Regiment and General insignia. The base features the Royal Doulton green printed lion and crown mark with a capital letter A to the side.

The collection includes two white ceramic beer steins with ornate pewter lids. One is inscribed Fil C. A. Scott and bears the crest for the Officers’ Mess, 1 (F) Wing, Royal Canadian Air Force, Marville, France. The second is inscribed as presented to Flt C. A. K. Scott by the Officers’ Mess of 30 A.M.B. RCAF. Also present is a large circular white ceramic ashtray with gold-toned rests, featuring the RCAF badge and inscribed 3 (F) Wing RCAF, marked to the base for H. J. Wald, Heidelberg.

Textile items comprise several pennants, including a purple and cream silk/satin 3(F) Wing RCAF maple leaf pennant, a red and blue Zweibrücken Rosengarten felt souvenir pennant, and a German Huhlbank Gesellschaftsmannschaft fringed pennant with a heraldic lion and castle crest. Supporting memorabilia includes a 1961 CANAM (Canadian-American) embroidered sports league patch, a bullion wing badge, a 1960 British Empire Motor Club guest pass, a Gibraltar Royal Marines coaster, a musical programme, and a selection of RCAF branded stationery in a plastic case.

Condition report:

The collection is in good vintage condition. The ceramic items show minor wear to the gilding and some surface marks consistent with age. The pewter lids on the steins exhibit light oxidation and a natural patina. The textiles show some age-related fading and light fraying to the edges and fringes. The bullion badge has some loose threads. The character jug is free from visible chips or cracks.
