Buyer's Premium:

A collection of decorative objects including ceramics and textiles from China, Japan, and England. The group features a Chinese porcelain teapot with a rose-pink ground, decorated with white and green foliate patterns in the millefleurs style, with a central circular reserve containing the character 萬 (wan), representing longevity. The base is marked with red stamped characters 中國製造 (Zhongguo Zhizao) and printed MADE IN CHINA, indicating a mid-to-late 20th-century origin. Included is a large footed Satsuma-style porcelain cachepot with a scalloped rim and twin handles, decorated with panels of figures in landscapes and dense geometric borders; the base features a red seal mark for 豊國 (Toyokuni). Also present is a slender Japanese ceramic vase with gilded and polychrome figurative scenes, bearing a paper label marked 大日本 薩摩 玉山 (Dai Nippon Satsuma Gyokuzan), and a small cylindrical porcelain cup marked 楠部 (Kusunobe). The English ceramics comprise an Aynsley fine bone china cream jug and waste bowl in the Pembroke pattern, both featuring green backstamps and hand-painted pattern numbers 156W. Textiles within the group include an uchiwa style hand fan decorated with a butterfly and flowers, and two red silk knot ornaments, one of which has an embroidered medallion reading 平安 (ping’an), translating to peace or safety.

Condition report:

The pink teapot is missing its lid. The Satsuma-style pieces exhibit fine surface crazing to the glaze. A modern barcode sticker is present on the base of the large cachepot. All items show general surface wear consistent with age and decorative use; no significant chips or cracks are visible in the photographs.
