An Art Deco style frameless wall mirror of elongated form with scalloped and bevelled edges. The mirror plate features a vertical wheel-cut decorative motif to one side, depicting a stylised floral spray with trailing leaves and a central flower head. The glass is mounted onto a shaped plywood backboard that follows the silhouette of the mirror. It is fitted with a metal hanging chain secured to the reverse by three metal brackets and screws.
Condition report:
The mirror plate shows significant foxing and silvering loss, primarily around the perimeter and lower edge. The surface exhibits various light scratches and streaking consistent with age and domestic use. The plywood backboard and metal fittings show general wear and surface oxidation commensurate with age.
