A pair of substantial table lamps of traditional baluster design. Each base is constructed from dark-stained turned wood with a visible grain, accented by circular brass-toned metal sections at the neck and a flared pedestal base. The lamp heads are fitted with decorative cream-coloured faux candle-drip plastic sleeves. The lamps are accompanied by a pair of large, off-white fabric shades featuring a scalloped lower edge, finished with matching long fringe and decorative braided trim. Each lamp is fitted with modern, gold-coloured three-core flex and E27 screw-in bulb holders. The lamps are currently fitted with IKEA 11W compact fluorescent bulbs.
Condition report:
The wooden bases show light surface wear and minor indentations consistent with age and use. The metal components exhibit surface pitting and oxidation. The fabric shades appear in good overall condition with minor signs of age and handling but no significant damage or staining. The electrical components appear modern but have not been tested; professional PAT testing is required before use.
