A vintage electric model railway freight set manufactured by Trix Twin Railways (TTR). The set features a die-cast steam-style locomotive and tender finished in British Railways black livery with red lining. The locomotive bears the number 1168 on the cab side and the tender carries the British Railways late crest emblem. The rolling stock consists of a group of wagons including a grey rocket launcher wagon with a spring-loaded blue and red mechanism carrying a red rocket with a black nose cone, a black Weltrol-WH well wagon marked 41900, a brown goods brake van marked 743126, a grey five-plank open wagon, and a small black open wagon marked B459325. The set is designed for the Trix 3-rail electric system. It is housed in the original cardboard box featuring a green pictorial lid and internal red and yellow fitted cardboard inserts.
Condition report:
The items are in good vintage condition with signs of age-related wear including surface dust and minor paint scuffs. The locomotive shows visible wear to the metal finish and gears. The original box lid exhibits shelf wear with splitting and fraying at the corners and edges. The internal cardboard inserts are present but show some creasing and small tears. The set appears largely complete based on the internal packaging slots, although no track or power controller is present. The mechanism and rocket launcher have not been tested.
