An assortment of vintage angling equipment primarily of British manufacture. The collection includes a Daiwa Sextet 810-7G multi-piece fishing rod, featuring a black blank with orange and gold whippings, clearly marked MADE IN GT. BRITAIN. Also included is a two-section cream-coloured vintage rod with a turned wooden handle and brass reel seat fittings.
The reels consist of a metallic centrepin reel marked ejecta Mk II MADE IN ENGLAND and a black fixed-spool spinning reel with a wooden handle knob. Further accessories include two wooden ladder-style line winders carrying green and orange cord, and a brown corduroy-style rod bag with a visible Daiwa brand label. The lot is completed by a white plastic cantilever tackle box containing various lead weights, vintage floats, and an Old Holborn tobacco tin used for storage of small tackle components.
Condition report:
The collection is in a heavily used state with significant signs of age. The Daiwa rod shows surface scuffs but appears structurally intact. The cream-coloured rod exhibits notable finish loss and surface grime. The Ejecta reel shows oxidation and accumulated dirt, while the black spinning reel is severely corroded with heavy surface rust. The tackle box and its contents show extensive wear, with oxidation present on the lead weights and the tobacco tin.
