A large three-seater sofa in a traditional Country House style. The piece features a fully upholstered frame with scrolled arms and a low, straight base. The upholstery consists of a woven tapestry-style fabric decorated with a repeat pattern of floral medallions, scrolling vine borders, and geometric motifs. The colour palette is composed of earthy tones including terracotta, ochre, tan, and muted greens. The sofa is configured with two large, loose seat cushions edged with decorative twisted cord piping, and five large, loose back cushions. Three of the back cushions are embellished with thick, multi-tonal tasseled fringe. Included with the lot are two woven, multi-coloured checkered throws in coordinating shades of burgundy, cream, and tan.
Condition report:
The sofa is in good used condition. There is evidence of general compression and softening of the cushion fillings consistent with age and regular use. No significant stains, tears, or structural damage were observed at the time of cataloguing.
