A joiner’s or cabinet maker’s workshop tool chest of traditional design, featuring a stained softwood carcase with hand-cut dovetail joinery. The chest is fitted with a hinged lid and a drop-down front panel revealing two internal pull-out drawers over a lower storage well. The interior includes hardwood dividers and custom tool-holding blocks. The chest contains an assortment of vintage hand tools including a Record No. 041 bullnose shoulder plane, two tenon saws (one with a brass back), a boxed Eclipse No. 77 saw set, and multiple chisels, several bearing Marples labels. Other items include wooden marking gauges, sliding bevels, and a hand brace. A metal-framed paper label to the side features handwritten script.

The chest and tools show typical signs of workshop use, including surface scratches, minor indentations, and light paint splatters to the carcase. Steel tool components exhibit surface oxidation. The internal organisation remains well-preserved. The central lock is functional and is provided with a key.
