This lot comprises two 20th-century mantel clocks of differing styles. The first is a Rapport anniversary-style clock, featuring an octagonal wooden case with a mahogany-effect finish and clear glass panels. The white dial displays black Roman numerals, an outer Arabic numeral minute track, and fleur-de-lis hands, marked Rapport and Made in Germany. The interior contains a rotating four-ball torsion pendulum, and the quartz movement is marked W. Germany to the reverse. The second clock is a Metamec modernist mantel clock of rectangular form, featuring wood-effect laminate side panels and a brushed metal-tone face set on a curved base. The silver-tone dial is marked Metamec, Quartz, and Made in England, with Roman numeral hour markers and a rail-track minute ring. The reverse houses a battery-powered quartz movement marked W 715.
Condition report:
Both items are in an untested working condition. The cases exhibit minor surface wear and light scuffing consistent with age and use. The Metamec movement housing has some dust accumulation and contains a battery.
