This lot comprises three vintage items: a 35mm bridge camera, an 8mm cine camera, and a pair of field binoculars. The Canon Epoca 35mm autofocus camera features an integrated 35-105mm f/2.8-6.6 zoom lens. The body is finished in gunmetal grey and black composite materials and is inscribed with Canon, epoca, and technical lens specifications. It is accompanied by a branded Canon neck strap and a black soft carrying case. The Elmo 8mm movie camera is of metal construction with black textured panels and silver-toned trim. The side panel is marked ELMO CO., LTD. JAPAN and includes a dial with numerical markings. It is equipped with a detachable black pistol-grip handle and a grey felt-lined soft case. The third item is a pair of compact field binoculars of brass construction with a black enamel finish and a cord neck strap. There are no visible maker’s marks on the binoculars.
Condition report:
The Canon Epoca shows moderate signs of use including scuffs and paint loss on the top of the body. The Elmo movie camera is in fair cosmetic condition with age-related wear, though the accompanying case is in poor condition with significant fraying and material degradation. The binoculars exhibit heavy brassing where the black finish has worn away to reveal the underlying metal, and the optics appear to have internal dust and cloudiness. All mechanical and electronic functions across the collection are untested.
