This late 20th-century knotted pine hi-fi and media storage cabinet is attributed to the Victoria range by Ducal. The unit is of single-piece construction and is finished with a honey-coloured stain and varnish. The top features a hinged lid that opens to a shallow compartment designed for audio equipment, including a rectangular cable access point at the rear. Below the lid is a central cupboard with a single clear glazed door enclosing two internal shelves. A single full-width drawer is located at the base of this central section. The unit is flanked by two pull-out storage towers, each containing three shelves specifically designed for the organisation of media such as CDs or cassette tapes. Hardware includes turned pine pull knobs and brass-effect butt hinges. The entire cabinet rests on a continuous plinth base with a moulded front edge.
Condition report:
The item shows signs of use consistent with age, featuring minor surface scratches, scuffs, and small indentations to the pine finish, most notably on the frames and around the handles. The hinges and drawer mechanisms appear to be in functional order.
