A trio of separate cased sets of silver-plated flatware. The collection includes a fish service with silver-plated blades and tines featuring engraved foliate and scroll motifs, fitted with off-white composite handles. This set is housed in a brown fitted presentation case with a cream-coloured satin and velvet lining. Also included is a silver-plated coffee spoon and sugar tong set by Priestley & Moore, Sheffield. The pieces feature tapering Art Deco-style handles and are contained in a black case with a maker’s label to the interior lid. The final set is an all-metal silver-plated fish service with handles decorated in a variant of the Kings pattern with shell and scroll motifs, presented in a black case with a pleated cream satin lining.
Condition report:
The items show varying degrees of surface tarnish and toning, with more pronounced oxidation visible on the all-metal fish service. The presentation cases exhibit external shelf wear and scuffing. Minor staining and age-related discolouration are present on the interior fabric linings. All pieces appear to be in a used but stable condition.
