This lot consists of three framed works of local topographical interest to the Totnes and Dartington areas of Devon. The first is a landscape print after a graphite drawing by Denis D. G. Griffiths, depicting the historic Town Bridge over the River Dart in Totnes. The work is signed Denis D. G. Griffiths in the plate at the lower left and is rendered in a fine linear style with tonal shading. The second item is a framed architectural plan titled LONGCAUSE, DARTINGTON, DEVON, featuring an elaborate scroll-work reference key listing estate elements from A to X, including Gate Lodge, Barn, Cow House, and Tool Shed. The plan includes a scale bar and handwritten inscriptions at the bottom left. The third item is a collage print titled TOTNES High Street, which is noted as being from a series of four cards by Andrew Newland, 2nd edition, April 1981. This print provides a detailed survey of the historic building elevations in the town centre. All three items are housed in glazed frames with either wooden or black-painted finishes.
Condition report:
The paper across all three items shows typical age-related toning. The architectural plan of Longcause exhibits more pronounced scattered foxing and light surface staining. The frames show minor surface scuffing and wear consistent with age. Glazing is intact.
