This lot comprises a varied collection of vintage and antique decorative and household items. The ceramic component includes a set of Denby stoneware dinnerware featuring a two-tone grey and cream glaze, comprising plates, bowls, and twin-handled cups; the base of a plate is stamped with dishwasher, freeze, Denby, ENGLAND, microwave, oven safe, and the letter P. Also included is a trio of graduated ceramic jugs decorated with a polychrome floral chintz-style motif. A large mid-century modern leaf-form ceramic dish features a dark brown glaze to the underside, impressed with the mark VALLAURIS. A barrel-shaped lidded ceramic trinket box with a figure of a resting cow on the cover is marked to the base with PORTUGAL and a stylized S mark.
The glassware selection consists of a tall green molded glass vase with foliate decoration, a faceted amber glass vase, and a swirled green and white glass vase. Several multi-coloured art glass ashtrays and bowls of various forms are also present. The metalware and miscellaneous items include a collection of silver-toned metal flatware consisting of various spoons and forks, a pair of turned wooden candlesticks with silver-toned metal nozzles, and a vintage black box camera accompanied by a brown leather carrying case.
Condition report:
Items generally appear in good vintage condition. Visible surface dust and light wear consistent with age and use are present throughout the collection. Some light surface scratches and minor residues are noted to the Denby stoneware and flatware. No major chips or cracks are observed upon visual inspection, though minor crazing may be present on ceramic pieces. The leather case for the camera shows surface wear and scuffing.
